I've had a feeling...

even a burning desire to prepare a meal for some special people.  The call came last week.  Reality has set in and now I'm stressing.  What will the menu be?  Will it turn out? Can I actually do this?  By the grace of God, it will be good.  Oh Lord, let it taste like manna from heaven!!!  Pray for me people!  I think I've forgotten how to cook.

BTW, I'm not talking gluten-free, dairy-free...I'm talking fully loaded gourmet.  Ugh!!!  Now I'm really stressed.  Maybe I'll start with desserts!

Today I am thankful

that I don't live in the upper midwest.  It is cold up here.  I think I'm ready for a warmer climate, although my heart has been warmed to spend a few days with my family.

my family.  It's been about three years since I've spent the holidays with them; today I am sharing Thanksgiving with them...all of them. Well, except for my dad.  I feel so privileged to have the brothers and sisters that God gave me, and a mom who raised me to know truth.  Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!  I hope you are sharing it with the ones you are thankful for.

for my pastor.  He keeps me on the straight and narrow.

my husband.  He is the love of my life, my best friend and holds my hand through the scary parts of life.

Jesus Christ and the revival we are experiencing at church.  Cannot hardly wait until we see the great in gathering of souls that we've been seeking.  God is so good.

Counting Down the Days

til I can give my mommy a hug.  I don't think I'll ever get too old to not need my mama.  I'm thanking the Lord for my mother.  Without her...well, you know.

Today is a difficult day.  We'll be attending a memorial service of an infant.

Short, Ty Michael, infant son of Johna and Chad Short, died Friday. Memorial service 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Lighthouse Church, and graveside service 3 p.m. Tuesday, Ridgelawn Cemetery, Collinsville. Floral Haven, Broken Arrow.

Record Setting Day

Ever had one of those days...or rather, nights where you couldn't sleep, bored to death(or something like that)?  Well, last night was one of those nights.  Couldn't sleep, kept waking up.  Not sure what the cause was, but the effect is that both my refrigerator and oven are sparkly clean.  I don't think I've ever done that in one day, let alone before 7:00am.  Just don't expect it to happen again!
